"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty." - Ben Franklin

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." - Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)

"when the student is ready, the master appears"-Buddhist Proverb

"If you think you're free-there's no escape possible"-Ram Dass

"To learn something new, take the path you took yesterday"-John Burroughs

I couldn't agree more with the first two.

Liberals are always pushing for big government. I don't need the government to control more in my life than they already do.

For what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18(NIV)

Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing.
Proverbs 31:30

You don't get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples of a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It's who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. YOUR TRUE BEING BRIMS OVER INTO TRUE WORDS AND DEEDS.
Luke 6:43-45

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Matthew 7:3

I love these. I need the last one repeatedly pounded into my brain every day.
