Everyone needs a set of these!!!

Our friends in Portland sent us a care package the other day. They are so thoughtful!!
Ryan got a ninja launcher, which is just what he needed, and I got the salt and pepper shakers. The salt and pepper comes right out of their cute little butts. It's awesome!!
You know you all want some :-)
They also came along with lots of CD's. They are into a lot of really cool unique music, and I always love it when they send us the new stuff they're listening to. Sometimes they will just send CD's of local musicians from the west coast. You never know what kinds of surprises are coming when the Rathmann's are in charge!!
Thanks Jeff and Karen!! We love you guys and can't wait to see you this winter!!!

Santa Claus is Coming to West Middleton

Saturday morning, Santa Claus came through West Middleton. He always comes to visit us on the fire truck for the Harrison Township Fire Department. They drive him around and he throws candy to everyone. He even threw a bone to Mickey who was out on his leash when they went by.....Good ol' Santa!!!
My tree is officially up now. It took me longer this year to get motivated to put it up for some reason. Now that it's up, I wish I would have done it sooner. I love sitting in front of it at night with Ryan. We just cuddle up on the couch with the puppies and stare at it. It seems a little silly, but I really look forward to that every night.
Of course, the puppies are in the holiday spirit too!!! Delilah has been sporting this sweet little Christmas dress for almost a month now....She loves it!!!
Jerry is always in good spirits, but especially at Christmas......see...............
He's gonna sing you a Christmas song now :-)
They were all such good puppies when I was taking their pictures the other day. I know they think I'm crazy, but as long as I talk in a real high pitched voice, and kinda fast, they think they're doing something to make me really happy, so they get excited....it's a win win really.

My Pooches in their costumes

OK, this picture has nothing to do with pet costumes, but I thought it was kinda cute........

As most of you know, I LOVE Halloween.......so, that means my pets have to love it too....whether they like it or not :-)If you can't already tell, Delilah is thrilled to pieces to be in her costume!!! I wasn't sure what to call her when people asked me what she was, so I decided she was a monster who ate a dachshund :-) Mickey was Superman......not really happy about it, but saving lives nonetheless................

Apparently there was something tastey on the floor for these two.............. that's Franklin on the left, and Jerry on the right.................

And one more of my big boy Mickey!!!!!

Jerry on my mind

My baby boy, Jerry has been having a pretty rough couple of weeks. I'm really worried that this is the beginning of the end for him.

He re-injured his back about two weeks ago, and after a visit to the vet and some puppy pain pills, he seemed to be doing much better. Then, a couple nights ago, he jumped off the couch and his right front paw gave out. That means he's only got one good leg right now. He can't even pull himself around in his wheels now.

We have an appointment at the vet again tomorrow, and I'm hoping they will tell me this is temporary. As long as we have him medicated, he doesn't seem to be in any pain. He seems very frustrated though. You can see it in his eyes. He'll try to pull himself closer to something, and struggle until either I pick him up, or he just wears himself out and collapses. He will let out this sigh like he just can't give anymore. It's breaking my heart.

His original injury had him in worse shape than he's in now, but we were pretty sure that he would recover quite well. Luckily, we were right...that time. I have a bad feeling that this time is different. I just can't imagine taking him in to put him down, but I also can't let him lay around and have to be carried everywhere. Sometimes he gets this look in his eyes like "Can't you do something for me?" I actually cried by his side most of the night Sunday trying to decide what to do.

I'm still not sure what the right answer is. I just know I don't want him to suffer anymore..........this is killing me..............................

Myspace for Dogs

Most of you are familiar with Myspace....but have you ever heard of Dogster.com ? Basically, it's like Myspace for dogs. You can create a page for your dog and their family. They can then get "Pup Pals" who are other dogs whose crazy moms like myself have put a page up for them.

It's kind of fun to look through all the dogs on there. Some of them have diaries...I just started one for Jerry today. Some of them have hilarious owners who make their profiles hysterical. You should check it out. here's the link to Jerry's page....you can get to my other babies under Jerry's family: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/526353

Jerry has made a couple friends who are in doggie carts just like him. It's been fun sharing stories with other dog lovers. Maybe Uncle Dale and Chancy need a page........................

Father Son Portrait

Ryan and I are babysitting our grand-dog this week while Mandy is in Vegas. Doesn't Jerry look handsome next to his oldest son? It is truly Weiner World at Alli-gal's this week :-)

(left-Samson 3 yrs, right-Jerry 8 yrs)
Samson is a little camera shy....he reminds me of his mommy, Maggie Mae. I think she would be proud :-)
